The Virtuan Miniconomist

From this moment on Riemer_1990, White Queen and Ravox will issue a English version of the Miniconomist. They didn’t opt for a fully Virtuan paper, because they usually are out of print rather soon. Hopefully being a part of the Miniconomist will create the stable environment that’s needed for success. This has been tried before, however, just one edition appeared in two languages. Virtuans felt no connection, as they mostly read about the latest gossips in Zwollar or Kronenburg. And the paper was run by someone called Bonanza. All slightly odd names right?
This version of the Miniconomist is for Virtuans, and by Virtuans. Articles that apply to the entire federation however, will be translated in the future, which means we’ll provide two sections in the paper. We hope to see a lot of support so the Virtuan TMC can grow increasingly successful over time!
Virtuan Politics

During this trade period Virtuan politics are already off to a strong start. The current Board of Consuls consists of riemer_1990 as Chairman, michel182 as Consul of Education, sinchan16 as Consul of Justice and Safety, and White Queen as Consul of Foreign and Internal Affairs. Riemer_1990, michel182, and White Queen all have many rounds of past experience as being a consul. It is always good however to see new faces on the BoC, such as sinchan16.
The Consuls have decided to take a proactive approach to City Budgets and have asked the mayors what they would like to see for budget factors. All of the mayor posted what they would like to see included in the Budget and posted it in the BoC Public. Then the consuls took an average of what they all wanted and came up with proposals. Currently a Budget has not fully been accepted, but there one made by riemer_1990 looks like it has the current support.
The Consuls have also been busy getting together an International Convention. From the current member count of the club it would appear that all officials from the three governments have been invited and joined. However, what is being spoken about has not been made public, however talk on education was said to be an idea that might be spoken about. That wraps up all that has been going on in Virtuan politics.
Ambiguous Elections in Virtua

The Virtuan elections have been both like a thrilling ride on a rollercoaster and a visit to the animal farm. In Cashington and Nasdaqar the Mayorelections remained unpredictable until the end. The Consulcampaign however, was showing a declining interest again with only 4 candidates for a Board of 4 members.
A few weeks ago an interesting Mayorcampaign was being hosted in the Cashington townhall. Both alecto and VirtuaCash were convincing candidates, and since that also means heavy competition the topic adressed to campaign talk became more fierce every day. The election bill was showing a 3rd candidate – JohnBonachon – too, standing in the shadows of the other 2, more talkative candidates. Eventually alecto turned out to be the new Mayor, probably partly having profit from high scale trading. Those players usually are very active and are in touch with lots of people all the time. With 7 votes against 12 VirtuaCash proved himself a worthy opponent. John Bonachon achieved 3 votes.
But compared to Cashington the heat was on in Nasdaqar. One period earlier, then current Mayor elzo, was the only candidate. But the latest election turned out to be a lot more of a thrill. Sahib, ex-mayor and veteran in Nasdaqar made his comeback to the election bill. Ravox, also ex-mayor, returned after a break of almost a year and competed along the other 2 for what was one of the most exciting Mayorelections Nasdaqar had seen so far. The results were likewise, with very small differences between the 3 candidates. Ravox turned out to be just a very close winner with 8 votes, having only 2 votes more than elzo and 3 more than Sahib.
Centropolis saw its declining activity reflected in the elections. Ronaldse was the only candidate, and took home 21 votes. But despite his easy victory he made a worthy debut as Mayor, even being around more than any other citizen of the Federation.
The Consulcandidates turned out to be in stark contrast to the Mayors-to-be. 4 open spots were offered, which were perfectly covered by 4 candidates. 3 veterans entered the elections – Riemer_1990, White Queen and michel182. With 21 and 19 votes Riemer_1990 and White Queen proved they were still in top shape in spite of their old age. 1 surprise enlightened these elections a bit: the debut of Shinchan16. He even beat veteran michel182 with 9 versus 4 votes and so far showed a great deal of interest and activity wearing his brand new Consul suit.
The Mysterious Miniconomy Genie

The other day I woke up and went on Miniconomy, like usually. I looked at how much money I had, and it said 600 ish. I said to myself: Bummer, I wish I had more money. Suddenly, I heard a “woosh” and there was that cha-ching of getting money. I looked at my amount and it had become 1,600 ish. Amazing! I thought. I looked at my mail. I hadn’t gotten a subsidy and I hadn’t gotten VAT restitution. I then took a look at the live newsfeed. Nothing indicated a sale at my shop. Then I looked at the chat. There was a private message for me.
It said: I have granted your wish. You now have more money. It was from someone called the Miniconomy Genie. Did this genie read my mind? Is something happening on Miniconomy that has never happened before? Is there something out there that is granting wishes, making Miniconomy a magical website? Will the mystery be solved?

The Legend of Franklin Ibisha

Standing on the shores of Nasdaqar I was staring at the rough cliffs at the horizon, which once were the gateway to a rising culture. However, Federal orders came, and the island had to be abandoned again. All that was left were ruins shattered across the island, and its founder, after which the island is named, Franklin Ibisha, disappeared along with the abandonment. Franklin once had great dreams about a new expanding culture, with its own standards and values.
The few expeditions that were organized in order to discover new ways of use for the island after the abandonment meant the beginning of a legend. Several members of the team would have seen Franklin, mumbling to himself, wandering across the ruins. When being asked about it openly, they just nodded their heads with a sad look in their eyes. According to the Federal Governement and the CBI Franklin Ibisha went missing during one of the eruptions of the volcano.
As I was pondering over this, an idea came to me, as a wave rolling gently into the shore. The mysterious volcano that had been spreading disaster time and again always made every citizen of the entire federation flee, leaving everything in dense layers of ashes. But what if it was true that Franklin still lived there? How did he survive the burst of the volcano? Perhaps, surrounded by the ocean, and protected by its high cliffs, Ibisha was standing up high and proud against the terrifying volcano. Could it be possible there is a safe harbor inside the borders of our Federation? Would it be able to house the thousands of people fleeing to foreign countries? And if so, then why would the Federal Government keep it a secret?
Here’s what I think about the legends and the rumors. If Franklin is still alive, the expedition teams must’ve found out. They probably spoke to him, and found a man lost in shattered dreams. But there’s a reason he stayed there, living as an outcast. I’d think, probably, he discoverer wants to die alone in peace, escaping in his dreams, and disputing civilization forever. He offered his discovery to the Federation, hoping they would help him establish a new country. But the capitalist Federal Government didn’t show gratitude at all and ordered the upcoming culture to be destroyed again, moving the citizens to cities across Virtua to stimulate the economy so they would become even wealthier.
But the Federal Government or the CBI must’ve heard about the rumors too, and went to inspect the island themselves and indeed found Franklin alive. I think the Federal leaders, greedy as they are, are crawling back to Franklin on their knees now they found out about the unique possibility of Ibisha. But would he welcome them with open arms, letting his beloved island become a temporary shelter, home to chaos and capitalism? He offered the island once, twice is too often. But if the Federal leaders would be capable of pursuing him somehow, it might be cause to a great improvement to all its citizens. As the volcano would become a threat again, they would just have to sail to Ibisha. There cultures would meet and people would live together in the best possible way. Maybe if all countries accept to live under the laws that Franklin states, and they respect them, he just might accept it.
And for sure he would be grateful to those that remained loyal to Ibisha; its ex-citizens and those who still shared an interest after it ceased to be inhabitable. New citizens could sail towards the Federation all of the time, not being stopped at the borders due to the horrible conditions. And after a while, when the countries would become safe again, the citizens could sail back to their homes. The island would be too small to house all of those people, but if just temporarily; it might be possible, giving the island a chance to recover. And leaving Franklin to its own for a while, as he surely isn’t capable anymore of being around others all of the time, being the mysterious legend that he is.
Magic

It was a Saturday afternoon and Riemer_1990 and Ravox were headed out to their favorite bar. Unfortunately, when they arrived at the bar, they discovered a sign that read, “Shut down due to asbestos.” Also, all the doors and windows were boarded up and a giant padlock chained the door shut. “Man, now where are we going to go get a drink?” Ravox said. “Well there are tons of bars in this city, let’s go look around,” Riemer_1990 said. As they were driving around they spotted a bar that looked appealing to them. The name of the bar was, The Broken Wand Pub and Bar. Neither of them was sure what made them want to go to a bar with such a ridiculous name, but something about it lured them to it. They stepped out of the car and walked up to the door of the bar. As they were walking up the people on the street started giving them funny looks, as if they were walking towards a brick wall. Little did Riemer_1990 and Ravox know they were the only two people standing on the street who could see the bar.
As they stepped into the bar they felt a strange warmth envelop them. The two looked around the bar. Immediately they noticed that over half the people in the room were wearing long robes and pointy hats. “Wow, these people take the name seriously,” Ravox whispered to Riemer_1990. “Well we shouldn’t be so fast to judge, why don’t we go over to the bar and see what they have,” Riemer_1990 whispered back. As they walked over to the bar people in the room gave them funny looks. “Geez, shouldn’t we be the ones giving them funny looks,” Ravox thought to himself. The bar tender approached the two with a skeptical look on his face. “Nice get-ups, you two must blend in perfectly out there,” the bartender said them. “Yeah,” Riemer_1990 and Ravox said nervously. Both of them started to wonder what kind of weird place they had wandered into. “We’ll each take a Heineken,” Riemer_1990 said to the bartender. “A what?” the bartender asked bewildered. “You know the beer,” Ravox said with a sound of annoyance in his voice. First, his favorite bar had closed down, now they had stumbled into the only bar where the bartender didn’t know what Heineken was. Suddenly it hit the bartender like a ton of rocks. These two were not their type of people. He called someone over and whispered something in their ear. Suddenly a jet of white light hit both Riemer_1990 and Ravox square in the chest. The next day both Riemer and Ravox woke up thinking they had gone bar hopping and passed out.
Starting of My New Era

This Article was written just for earning 200 ISH and getting two PM days. But I edited this when my heart said I was doing wrong. Now this article is what I really felt in these three days. Dedicated to all my friends.
This is about my experiences being a new player playing his first round, This is about players who helped me to become stable. This is for new players who are broke and they think that they will not be able to recover.
Day 1
As I entered, I did not know what to do so I asked Shinchan16 about what I should do. He suggested me glass and explained me everything. I started on glass making when Nasdaqar Mayor Ravox said to me “You really helping our economy with such low prices on glass.” I was still having profit of 11 ISH on every glass. This saying by Mayor Ravox made me repeat in my mind ” You are the one who will be position #1 this round and you will be the one who won his first round.” His lines gave me a lot of confidence on myself and then I was too confident to keep my business running. Suddenly I saw myself Out Of Stock. Here enters White Queen, she demanded me to make more glass and asked me to increase price where I get more profit , she made me buy an oven and I produced glasses and sold at 36 ISH each (exclusive of all taxes). I was getting richer and richer. My limit reached and there was a person who helped me by giving me 5 PM days. That was FuryWind. She gave me PM days so that I could make more glasses and then we had a deal that I will buy plastic from her. She said “Make more glass , buy more plastic.”
Then came Billy Green and started purchasing bulk glasses and we had a deal and I sold him 100 glasses at 32 ISH each. Billy Green became a regular customer.
Day 2
FuryWind is gone…Where is she?
I got three more ovens, started making many glasses, and reached a count of making 600 glasses out of which 400 were sold.
But then VirtuaCash appeared who sold me plastic for a higher rate as compared to FuryWind. Difference was only in points so I started buying all his plastic as I had no option than to take. VirtuaCash used credits to give me 250 ISH.
As the day passed, Billy Green asked me to go Cashington and goudie sold me a shop there. The shop could be extended because it had less condition. I thought it is over for me… Goudie and Billy Green requested a park and My lots condition increased. This is the main reason I like to see people like them who are actually good persons even being good players in MC.
My sales increased but I had a competition in Cashington with two glassmakers. We had a deal not to be talked about.
Later that day, Ravox asked me to open bank account so I can get my part of subsidy. White Queen invited me in her house. I got my Bank in which players could give me some ISH.
After reading this, you will say that my life has been easier than one could expect, but it has been tougher that one can go through.
FuryWind is back with plastic at four ISH and Virtua is selling for five ISH. White Queen and Billy Green both sell planks, which I often require. Shinchan16 and FuryWind both sell Shovels, but I could get more shovels in lower price with person named Vdakevin who gives me discount.
Sahib and Goudie sell iron at 8.40 ISH.
Where do I buy? Billy Green says, “See business ”
Goudie says “Be loyal” Shinchan often says, “You are being greedy and you can ruin anyone to come up”
But am I really doing bad? VirtuaCash and FuryWind don’t say much except “ah” , “cool” and “Thanks for buying plastic”
Whom do I help? What do I do ? From whom should I buy my stuff?
I said it to everyone that I want you to win just because I wanted them to go on help me but when I read my own thoughts while writing this article I can just say “Sorry” to everyone whom I was betraying from inner self.
Whom should I buy woods from? Billy Green or White Queen or that person JPP who sells cheapest
Whom do I buy plastic from? FuryWind who gave me PM or equally VirtuaCash who gave me 250ish when I needed.
Whom do I buy shovels from? My real life friend Shinchan16 or FuryWind or should I look at business and buy from vdakevin who sells it for even cheaper price.
What do I do? Choosing one is betraying other.
What should I do?? be loyal or do business.
I know you guys might think it is a story I made but it is what i really went through.
These are my real emotion that i want to show via this newspaper.

Virtua is the Future

Five out of the previous seven rounds has been won by a Virtuan citizen. And which of the last victory of a Virtuan citizen, was by someone with a background from ‘New Zealand’, which was the first victory from someone without a ‘Dutch’ background. Let this be a start of an evolution.
As some people already notice, is that Cyberia and Digitalia aren’t really growing anymore, those countries have about reached their limits. Virtua however remains an attractive country for successful traders with a lot of potential for growth. There are many new faces passing by, and many have found the comfort of settling in Virtua, which makes it socially diverse and dynamic. Always new stories and experiences brought up, from all corners of the world, at any time of the day.
Virtua will soon be the biggest country in the Federation, it’s only a matter of time, and you can all help a little to speed this up. Contact friends, get onto the main fora of your region and let them all know of the existence of Virtua, inside the world of Miniconomy, a small action can start a chain of events resulting in an evolution we’ve all been waiting for, so what are you waiting for, spread the word around.
Broom!

Yesterday afternoon the 21st Grand Broomrace took place in the Federation. 2 citizens of each country were chosen. They took on the challenge of flying over all countries of the Federation, trying to finish first. Virtua sent in Samurai02 and Ronaldse. They flew the Virtuan V3, a new model, crafted out of very rare wood, that is only found in the Jungle of Nasdaqar. The Cyberian team consisted of Centaura and Bonanza. Geeky as Cyberians are they flew the CybD-9 which featured a fully developed engine working on ion technology. The Digitalians only arrived at the start just in time, with big rough brooms of no specific brand. Their team featured Sugarfree and Y2K.
Everyone wished each other good luck, then a flare lit up the sky and off they were. They started in Nasdaqar and were racing in the direction of Digitalia. As they were getting closer to land, Sugarfree suddenly made a steep dive, and appeared back in the race with a bag in his hands. Everyone knew what this meant; Sugarfree took the shotgun out of his bag and aimed for Samurai02. But he – what’s in a name – took his sword, and with a *zoof!* swift as the wind he reflected the bullet. The bullet hit the tail of Sugarfree’s broom, and the branches lit up. Soon he had to make a crash-landing in the ocean because it was becoming too hot under his bottom.
In all this chaos, Centaura had kept his eyes open, and being the natural born thief that he is, he closed in on Samurai02 and stole his sword. But it wasn’t just a sword. It carried a magical spell and *flash!*, Centaura turned into a fluffy cow. But he was looking so funny, and he was mooing in such a silly way that Samurai02 started laughing so hard he fell off his broom, into the sea.
As the shores of Roebelarendsveen were coming closer there were only 3 candidates left. Again a member of the Digitalian team suddenly dived underneath the clouds. But Y2K just made a pit stop because he was in need of fuel. But he forgot that he was in Cyberia. Cheap and crappy as their gas is, his broom refused to take off again. He then decided to just use his broom as a plank and beat up the shop owner.
Now the race became a heads up battle between Ronaldse and Bonanza. They ascended and descended; spiraled down and up again, a whilst bombarding each other with potiongrenades. At the last moment, Bonanza was able to avoid the heavy fire from trained pilot Ronaldse which was faster on his Nasdaqarian broom, and had more experience too. But that made him ascend very high above ground.
Right when they were flying over the place were once Bathoevedorp was, Bonanza – high up in the sky- had a lack of oxygen and he started hallucinating. But in fact he took a hit from a potiongrenade which made him see what he longed for in his dreams. He was convinced he saw Bathoevedorp and flew off. Turned out it was just El Dorado.
Ronaldse was too far away already, and he flew over the finish in Centropolis as the first and only pilot. Once again the Virtuan V3 team achieved a great victory for the glorious Virtua.
Luckily no one got hurt during the performance. At least not seriously. Sugarfree went home with a burned bottom. The shopkeeper that was beaten up by Y2K had to be taken to the hospital and Y2K got fined and ended up in prison. Bonanza became mad after he found out about the existence of a city consisting more gold than Bathoevedorp. Centaura still looks a little fluffy, but that saved him and Samurai02 because the fluffiness kept them afloat after they crashed into the sea. But other than that no one got hurt. Congratulations to the Virtuan team!

De kortzichtigheid van de federals en het CoV

Huppah, klikkah, en gedaan was het met het mayorschap van hypnotiseur, de federals hadden hem met zijn klikken en klakken op straat gezet. Sommige mensen kunnen deze actie alleen maar toejuichen. Ik noem hem eerder dieptriest.
Dieptriest, omdat de CoV nogmaals eens blijk geeft geen eigen mening te hebben, en als kippen zonder kop de suggestie van de federals opvolgen. Of hoe kan je anders verklaren dat na tientallen rondes van lage kavelstaat in Roebelarendsveen er ineens een mayor wordt bestraft?
Dieptriest, omdat de federals en bijgevolg het CoV geen grondig inzicht hebben op de situatie, of dat ze deze wel hebben maar niet tot een constructieve oplossing kunnen komen. Want straffen? Dat is de oplossing! Dat is het wondermiddel! Dat gaat ervoor zorgen dat de kavelstaat elke ronde hoogtes tot en met gaat pieken! Sorry, foute denkwijze, straffen is geen lange termijnoplossing. Hooguit voor enkele rondes, maar het is al behoorlijk naïef om dat te denken. Stel dat hypnotiseur de handel in zijn stad totaal had verneukt wegens het dreigement van de aardbeving en stel dat de kavelstaat dusdanig boven de 80 was gebleven. Ging de volgende mayor dan wel een goede kavelstaat halen? Natuurlijk niet, tenzij je elke ronde gaat dreigen. Het is een oplossing, maar ééntje die rondeslang veel weerstand zou opleveren, overigens ligt het meestal niet in spelleiders hun gewoontes om een groepje spelers ronde na ronde te benadelen.
Maar goed, zover is het niet gekomen. Hypnotiseur heeft die dreiging aan zijn laars gelapt, en kan nu de gevolgen dragen van een verloren krachtmeting met de federals. Zijn ontslag volgde, met welke denkwijze? Dat iedere mayor natuurlijk schrik heeft om ontslag te krijgen, en de staat hoog houden. Fout, mis geschoten.
Neenee, deze halve maatregelen werken op termijn van geen klote. Men moet het probleem aanpakken waar het fout gaat, men moet niet zeggen, de mayor bouwt geen parkjes! Verdomme, afzetten die gozer! Nee, men moet nadenken, de mayors bouwen geen parkjes, waarom toch? Het is een heel eenvoudige vraagstelling met een heel eenvoudige oplossing, als de federals echt de lage kavelstaat willen bestrijden moeten ze ervoor zorgen dat parkjes bouwen aantrekkelijk wordt, en lucratiever is voor een stad als bijvoorbeeld wegen bouwen. Dit is geen eenvoudige opgave, aangezien we er moeten voor zorgen dat Zwollar niet te hard bevoordeeld wordt en dat er nog wel behoefte is naar andere producten in de exim.
Maar goed, zij willen perse een hoge kavelstaat, mij en de andere inwoners van Rveen hoor je over een lage kavelstaat niet klagen.
Evaluatie kabinetten Tresias Aegirsson I, Centaura I en Pedro Alvarez III

Je kan zeggen wat je wilt over de politiek, maar echt volledig onvoorspelbaar is het toch niet. Met de aanstelling van Tresias Aegirsson als President wisten we dat we een moeilijke periode tegemoet gingen. En dat allemaal door de schuld van één persoon, the mega handelaar, de partijleider van TRADE die de beslissing nam om voluit voor Tresias Aegirsson te gaan.
Gelukkig zijn the mega handelaars keuzes niet altijd ongelukkig. De ministersploeg mag er best wezen. Met witteheks op Justitie weet je dat je goed zit, dat heeft hij voor de laatste vulkaanuitbarsting al bewezen. Met Goldcatcher en Podje als rechters haalt hij wel risico’s binnen, aangezien beiden niet ontzettend veel ervaring hebben op juridisch gebied (althans voor zover ik kon terugvinden). Hoewel sommige uitspraken soms verwondering opriepen, kan men over het algemeen terugblikken op een geslaagde justitiële periode.
Ook over de Minister van Financiën kan je alleen maar lovend zijn. Hij kwam deze periode met een nieuw budget verdelingssysteem waar eerst wat vragen rond waren, maar na een tijdje kon hij zelfs zijn ergste criticasters overtuigen. Het systeem is fijn uitgewerkt en met een testclub waar mayors zelfgekozen criteria kunnen kiezen toont hij aan dat hij bereid is om zijn concept nog verder te vernieuwen. Zo goed als geen commentaar krijgen als Minister van Financiën gedurende de handelsperiode is een prestatie op zich, dus deze Minister zien we maar al te graag terugkomen de volgende periodes. Het is te hopen dat zijn kwaliteiten over partijgrenzen heen worden geapprecieerd, wat waarschijnlijk wel het geval is.
De Minister van Onderwijs, the mega handelaar, heeft een slibberige weg afgelegd met hier en daar een uitschuiver. Er was wat commotie rond enkele examens die niet eerlijk verlopen zouden zijn en ook zijn uitspraak dat hij de wet alleen toepast wanneer die in zijn voordeel is, deed geen goed. Hij kon maar net een Motie van Wantrouwen overwinnen.
Een verspilde handelsperiode voor Onderwijs kunnen we het echter niet noemen. Er zijn tot hiertoe twaalf examens afgenomen. Een opvallende stijging ten opzichte van de voorgaande periodes. De vraag rijst echter aan wie deze stijging te danken is. De LMB school van marcelbuter leverde zo goed als alle studenten. Het lijkt dus eerder logisch om de enorme stijging toe te kennen aan de LMB school dan aan het beleid van de MvO.
Last but not least hebben we de President. Presidenten, mijn excuses. Tresias Aegirsson beet de spits af en is reeds uitvoerig besproken in editie 1. Hij had weldegelijk enkele ideeën en plannen, maar pakte ze spijtig genoeg verkeerd aan. Een goede tip voor toekomstige Presidenten: Begin als President nooit het Parlement uit te dagen door op het randje van de wet te balanceren. Tresias Aegirsson probeerde weg te komen met het aanstellen van vier Vice-Presidenten, maar werd ongenadig afgeslacht. Wanneer hij na zijn nakende ontslag ook nog begon te dreigen de Cyberische Overheidsclubs te vernietigen, moesten de Federals zelfs ingrijpen om hem te beschermen tegen zijn eigen gedrag. Hoe kan je in godsnaam van President tot wanna-be cheater vervallen? De prestaties van de Ministers gedurende het kabinet Tresias Aegirsson I zijn goed gezien de omstandigheden. Spijtig genoeg laat de President zelf een bittere nasmaak achter die we niet snel zullen vergeten. Tresias Aegirsson ooit nog op een Cyberische machtspositie? Nee bedankt! Een 2/10 is het resultaat.
Vervolgens hebben we het kabinet Centaura I. Het zag er veelbelovend uit. Centaura wordt ondanks zijn relatief nieuwe aanwezigheid in de Federatie alom gerespecteerd, zowel op handels als op politiek vlak. In de korte periode dat hij President was heeft hij de orde weten te behouden, ook al is het niet representatief om een deftig cijfer op zijn prestaties te plakken. Het feit dat hij zijn land in de steek heeft gelaten omwille van onvrede met het Federale beleid doet natuurlijk geen goed. Hij krijgt het voordeel van de twijfel en ontvangt een 6/10.
Ten slotte is er nog Pedro Alvarez die de functie van President al voor de derde keer heeft uigeoefend. Hij laat een degelijke indruk achter, zoals we gewoon zijn. De Ministers konden rustig verder werken terwijl de President het Parlement op orde houdt. Hij heeft niet veel initiatief genomen, maar dat is deels te vergoelijken door zijn beperkte regeertermijn. Ook hij krijgt dus het voordeel van de twijfel, maar de sterke aanrader om bij een eventuele volgende termijn straffer uit te hoek te komen. Mede omwille van de verzachtende omstandigheden krijgt het kabinet Pedro Alvarez III een 7/10.
Parlementair Onderzoek
Tot slot luisteren we ook nog naar de mening van de politici zelf. Wie vinden zij de best presterende politicus van Cyberië? Aan zij die bereikbaar waren hebben we deze vraag gesteld.
De winnaar is in de eerste plaats Mitra geworden. Hij wordt omschreven als een actief politicus die de vinger op de wonde durft te leggen, zonder daarbij zout te hanteren. Als ex-Federal, bekend ex-politicus en advocaat kan hij een mooi palmares voorleggen. Momenteel is hij lid van PRO, maar het is geweten dat hij niet graag in een keurslijf wordt geduwd. Geef hem zijn vrijheid en dan opereert hij het beste.
Op de gedeelde eerste plaats staat katharos. Zijn ingenieus budgetsysteem zal daar niet vreemd aan zijn. Velen zullen samen met mij hopen dat hij vroeg of laat toch nog eens opnieuw begint met zijn statistieken-website. Inwoners van de Federatie zijn er verzot op, zoals ook Mitra heeft bewezen met zijn invloeden index (die terug te vinden is in deze editie). Als geslaagd handelaar weet katharos beter dan wie ook hoe hij de cijfertjes juist moet krijgen. Zijn collega’s bij LJE zullen zonder twijfel steunen op zijn financiële kennis.
We wensen alle politieke partijen veel geluk bij de eerstvolgende verkiezingen.

Please remember that this is no competition or award: it is merely one way to show the social world and give small insights in the impenetrable old boys networks. When you disagree, feel free to create your own listing; it should be interesting to see what is different, but even more to find out what they have in common.
Everyone in the Federation has been added to the list, after which points were rewarded for influential jobs and statuses such as officer, mayor and Advanced. They were also judged on less straightforward factors, like popularity and knowledge of the law: together, it creates a point of view on society and who has the most opportunities and overpowering charms to influence the world around him.

Mijn handelsavontuur

Ik had in de vorige handelsperiode besloten om ervaring op te gaan doen in het land genaamd “Cyberië”. Toen ik het mijn broer Lime_lemon vertelde werd hij laaiend, en schreeuwde gelijk: “EEN ECHTE DIGITALIAAN GAAT ALLEEN NAAR CYBERIË OM BOMMEN TE LEGGEN OF TE SCHIETEN!” Hoe boos mijn broer ook werd, ik was vastberaden de handelscultuur in Cyberië te leren kennen.
Toen ik eenmaal aangekomen was in Eurodam begon ik gelijk met handelen. Van te voren had ik al besloten mezelf te gaan specialiseren in het product ijzer. Ik sprak meteen mijn grootste potentiële klanten aan, en bood hun een speciale prijs aan. De handel ging uitstekend, en na een dag handelen had ik al in elke stad van Cyberië een winkel. Vervolgens verhuisde ik naar Roebelarendsveen omdat daar meer ijzererts was. Na een week flink handelen bleek dat het harde werken niet voor niets was, ik had de hoogste omzet van alle handelaren, zelfs hoger als de overheid. Die statistieken gaven me hoop en ik zette mijn zinnen op de overwinning van deze handelsperiode. Uit diezelfde statistieken bleek dat mijn grootste concurrent voor de winst de beruchte handelaar Goudie was. Het gebluf over het eigen vermogen was begonnen.
Ik verzamelde al mijn moed en besloot Goudie te gaan stangen in Virtua, ik opende er 2 winkels, en ging mijn ijzer daar goedkoop verkopen zodat Goudie minder hout zou verkopen aan de ijzerhandelaren. Het gebluf ging maar door en we spraken elkaar bijna elke dag aan met de vraag: “En hoeveel eigen vermogen heb je nu?”. Op een dag was het gebluf in één keer over, Goudie had een boete van 40.000 I-shell gekregen. Een overwinning voor mij, maar ook weer niet. Persoonlijk had ik liever een spannende eindstrijd gehad tussen ons twee. Daarna werd het handelen minder voor mij, ik nam veel dagen vrij om bij mijn vrouw te zijn en met de kinderen te spelen.
Al bij al, ik vond het een hele ervaring om in Cyberië een periode te handelen, maar ben er ook achter gekomen dat ik Digitalië wel heel erg mis. Na deze handelsperiode neem ik de boot terug naar Digitalië en ga ik met mijn verdiende I-shells een feestje geven. Bij deze zijn jullie allemaal uitgenodigd.

DEP

DEP staat voor De Eco Partij. Deze partij, deze partij wil de staat algemeen beter maken. Zo wil deze betere banden maken met de andere landen in de Federatie. We zouden zelf een Federal Union willen stichten met Virtua, waar er een raad vastgelegt word met de regeringsleiders. Verder zouden we de economie ook verder helpen door de activiteit in de steden op te krikken. Zo zouden we verschillende cultuurclubs bouwen, waar zo muziek, film, toneel, opera, techno, hillarische serie’s, eigen zoeksel, … voor geschoteld zou worden aan het volk. Zo creeëren we in Eurodam, niet alleen een handel en politiekcentrum, maar ook een place to be voor een cultuureel rijke hoofdstad.
Wat wij nog zouden willen bereiken, is het zelfrespect op te krikken. Zo zouden wij de vlag zoals net in alle andere landen in de Federatie ophangen in elk staatsgebouw. Als wij voor ons zelf geen respect hebben, zullen anderen dat zeker ook niet voor ons doen. Verder zouden wij de lat van het onderwijs hoger leggen, zodat wij Cyberiërs met ons diploma in andere landen ook kunnen werken. Dit zouden wij bereiken alleen door betere overeenkomsten met de andere landen in de federatie. Wij willen ook inspecteurs aanstellen die MvO inspecteren en de scholen. Maar “De ondergang van een natie kan maar slechts door een onweer van niet passionele mensen toegebracht maar,zij die zelf passie hebben kunnen passie in anderen wekken.” En wij de DEP hebben die nodige passionele mensen.
