As one river which splices in two new ones.
As a tree which splices in two halves but is still connected by its roots.
A small group of protesters knocked on the doors of the Board, most of these protesters were traders who are being recognized in the trading community as ‘the big traders’.
The reason for their protest was the newly accepted trade law by the Board of Consuls, with this trade law it is prohibited to trade products in the first three days of the trade-period in a town which isn’t your home town. “Everyone has the same amount of cash at the start of the trade-period, so why is it an advantage for the rich players?” was the first one.
The law protects the smaller traders and gives them more chances to compete against ‘the big traders’. “Three days isn’t much, in the past the first garage was build on the fourth or fifth day so the transport costs were to much to open a shop elsewhere” a quote from the consul Tuned2.
Not only the ‘big traders’ responded on the new law, ex-consul and veteran riemer_1990 disliked the idea, . The mayor of Gold Coast was the only person who had a positive view, he was the only mayor who had the time to respond.
“Open trade will lower the prices which generates less profit. Though there sometimes are a few traders per city in a product, but still” was the defence of Ravox.. “One big disadvantage could be that it actually might be better cause you can create monopolies. If you control an entire town by yourself” he continued.
The BoC is looking forward on the true test of this law, next round.
