Many traders have felt the effects of decreased resources. Resources and secondary products have jumped up in price and people are forced to take cuts in profit. I recently had a chance to talk to a famous Centropolis plastic trader by the name of xplay. Centropolis has recently seen a decrease in its oil reserves and even the best traders like xplay are feeling the effects.
I asked xplay what his best oil lots are yielding this round, he reported his companies best lots have currently yielded 200 liters compared to 500 in the past. When asked if he has felt this impact financially he replied: “Sure, it hurts me, i can’t expand too much”. When asked if this has hurt his international trade he said: “Im not sure, but i think it decreases”.
Centropolis used to have Virtua’s primary oil reserves and could far out compete its neighboring cities. But recently due to oil reserves drying up the margin has shrunk. When asked about intercity trade xplay said: “All the cities have decreased in production so i guess Centropolis is still the best for oil”. And with a chuckle he added “Other traders from Virtua can compete with me but will lose a lot of money.”
It’s obvious xplay and the other traders are still in good spirits about the economy. Life in these cities will go on and the good traders will adapt. Although not as vast as it used to be the oil fields of Centropolis are expected to produce oil well into the future. When asked if xplay’s company has calculated increases in oil in the future he said: “I don’t think so, although I do hope there is a slight increase in total production compared to today. In my opinion, every city has a surplus and Centropolis should be maintained by excess production of oil.”
