Something has gone wrong with the infrastructure.
Citizens throughout Virtua are complaining, hissing, and moaning about a lack of proper transportation. Even worse is the lack of parking spaces. More often than this writer dares to count, citizens have been seen running the streets, attempting to get a taxi home, only to find there are no parking spaces available. Why this matters for a car that is destined to return to its home city immediately after dropping one off is of no concern, of course.
“This is ridiculous,” said an anonymous citizen stuck in Centropolis. “I just want to get home. Shouldn’t I be allowed to go home?”
Unfortunately for him, the answer appears to be no. Despite repeated attempts to get the government to do anything about it, most of these issues are solved not by adding parking, but by shuffling cars around like cards in a deck. The major outcry is never to actually solve the problem, but to squeeze through it like Santa down a chimney.
Officials are flabbergasted. “A couple weeks ago, there was no issue here. Plenty of parking abounded throughout all of Virtua. But now, there is nothing. It’s like there was some cataclysmic parking-related event,” said one made-up official who wished to remain nameless.
Scientists examining the parking disappearance of Period 84 are calling it a phenomenon, and urge citizens to panic, loot, and generally cause as much chaos as possible. Officials are urging citizens to stay in their homes, and to prepare for reoccurrence in the near future, possibly even less than a month from now.
