This seems to be the word which describes what has been going on so far this week. As usual the CoV has been taking its time deciding on the post of the Chairman of the International Court, the highest judicial power within the Federation.
First it was a surprise when the former Chair m1n1conomy had been fired. Also as usual the CoV will not say why they have made this decision. We can however assume that the decision was made quite recently since the CoV is still working on finding a replacement.
If it was known that m1n1conomy would be removed as Chairman of the IC, they would have also spoken about a replacement for him. The reason therefore still is unknown, but we can assume a few things.
During the previous trading period Dutch was allowed as language in the International Court. This was new, and frankly it had pointed out a flaw in the International Law which could be bent slightly. The CoV decided to change this for this trading period (which hasn’t happened in quite some time). With this the CoV actually implicitly states that they were not happy with the actions of the Chairman. The removal of him from the position can then be seen a logical result.
In Cyberia people were not sitting still either. The freshly chosen President, The Minic decided to hire an inexperienced Minister of Justice, kasper het spookje. Due to a law change in the past trading period the Cyberian Courtroom could be built quickly.
Right away it was clear that the cabinet had chosen to hire a few very experienced judges, Joep Eerlijk and Bonanza. While the first law suits have started, the Minister of Justice is however still looking for the other two judges.
At this moment three cases have been started, but none are interesting. The usual teasing such as slander and insults are back in full force in the courts.
This round Car-Dealertje is back again as Lawyer. The living proof that the exams need to be better in education. This is something that has been said now a while and our ambitious lawyer is making one mistake after the other. Examples of this are the wrongful quoting of Dhr. Jorisz. These are mistakes that result from laziness and just can’t happen at this level. Car-Dealertje is offended however since it is said that he will become criminal again, but nothing seems to be wrong with this comment since he has been a criminal for the past 3 trading periods while he had an important function (such as Judge and Officer).
Hopefully this ambitious lawyer will follow the advice from a verdict a few rounds ago and retake his Lawyer course and exam.
