Going once, going twice, sold

You have probably seen it already, from now on each country will have auctions going on. In each of the countries various projects are being requested for an increasing price.”So what is fun about these auctions? Someone with skills on a product will be able to auction it much sooner? “The answer to the last question is yes, but the fun part about the auction is that people take risks. Will you go for 1 ish profit or are you willing to wait longer to see if you can get more of a profit, running the risk that someone else has sold it for 1 ish profit? The current way of auctioning then seems more like a lottery with products.

In the last trading period there were two new Federals, and two changed their function, this new Federal Team surprised us with the auction, so Federal Assistant gave us some information about their decision to implement auctions:
“We chose for this form of auctioning since traders see the price increase gradually and the profitability increases by the second. You will however have less profit if so push the button soon and no profit if you wait too long. Besides that it is a good impulse for the production of complex products, which increases the economy as a whole as well.
We also think that little negative reactions will come from this. The prices may rise too slowly at the beginning, but we also need time to find the right balance. If something turns out to be wrong completely, we can always change it afterwards. If there are negative reactions it won’t be fun, but I think everyone is occupied with it for now.”

About the future Federal Assistant could state that there were different forms of auctioning which could be implemented, and while some idea seem fun, the ability for players to auction themselves is too dangerous. It would make it very easy to cheat. The idea to auction off airplanes is another idea which is in my head. By that idea won’t be implemented any time soon.

Will this form of auctioning be the next hot thing, we will find out soon enough.
