Over the past few weeks the Virtuan Awards have been organized in order to honor hardworking Virtuans. A perfect opportunity to hand out flowers, and of course thousands of ishes from the many donators. The best new player even receives free premium membership for a month!
The BoC’s best player overall award is as important as it is vague. Usually, people tend to take recent achievements into consideration mostly. Trade results are far more important here, compared to social jobs like Consul, Mayor, Judge,.. Those jobs also are a factor of course, but high profile traders already are very important on the social level as they are very active. It’s evident in the results, with two winners sharing the first place:

Both winners have achieved big successes in the past, on different levels in the game. But their current activity and impressive results lately also definitely had a good influence on the amount of votes they received. They both win 500 ish donated by the Board of Consuls.
JohnBonachon’s best new player award is with no doubt the most interesting award of this round. A few very promising new players have been around lately, and this caused a big fuss. It also shows in the donations: the winner receives 1000 ish and a free premium membership for a month! The runner up receives 750 ish. However thrilling this poll was, the results were very clear with more than 50% of the votes for the winner:

Being sympathetic at all times sometimes can be the roughest job of all. Only people with a true kind heart at all times get to win this one. You won’t have more at all votes if you just have lots of money or success, it’s not as easy to win field in this poll. In my personal opinion, the most personal and underrated award around:

Virtua has an increasing number of successful traders. Our economy grows bigger every round, and Cyberia has lost its economical dominance a long time ago already. Of course this results in the up rise of a few very big economical experts, namely:

The funniest player award received a donation from Entropy because: ‘There are no donations yet for funniest player and I deserve a prize.’ But of course his competitor-when-things-get-foolish is also around. ‘He’s like a clown’, As Riemer_1990 puts it. Not sure if that’s a compliment:

The Best Mayor award always is victim to a kind form of corruption. All Virtuan Mayors have done a very good job with little to no difficulties this round so it tends to be an indicator of the most wealthy and active town, with satisfied citizens.

When Virtuans fall in love with their country they become a bit mellow, doing efforts for others, so the country evolves for the better. But these efforts actually just make themselves happier. Sneaky!
