Interview

Author: iHockey Schneider

Last week I had an interesting week, I wanted to visit (Brendan) because I wanted to give an interview but (Brendan) didn’t have much time, so I decided to go to Cyberia and interview they’re president. The first boat I could get I took, and I was wondering because the boat was very empty, only Cami was there who has some outlet stores in Virtua and Cyberia. We talked about the trading and the prices. As soon as we arrived we split up and he had to go to his shop to sell his screwdrivers imported from Virtua. After we said good bye, I walked to the taxi stand, but doodvogeltje already saw me and drove me with his black limcousine to the big Cyberian parliament building. There I met up with a few old friends of mine. As soon as we got at the end of the floor I saw a big door, as we entered the room doodvogeltje went to his desk and offered me a cup of coffee, it was really nice to drink something else than Virtuale. After we had talked about old memories I started with my interview.

How was it to be President of Cyberia?
It was a busy but fascinating round. You meet different people, but the tenseness between Virtua and Cyberia made it hard to lead Cyberia and to keep Cyberia safe from foreign people.

What do you think of the work Tuned did before?
I think that Tuned started a dangerous game, to make Virtua an independent country. Although during the last week he also understood the situation in Cyberia.

Why did you want to try to make the relationship better with Virtua?
In a game as Miniconomy the traders need as much shops as they can get. So the traders can sell more and make more profit, that’s why we play Miniconomy.
Cyberia and Virtua are strong trading countries, so they should work together well. Because not only the players learn to trade better but also they learn to communicate better with people from different countries.

Why did it not work with (Brendan)?
It all worked well with (Brendan), before the round started we had a good relation and have talked about a lot of things. We had made clear agreements, it all went well until the by-laws started, but we had an agreement to talk with each other before we do it.

But later it all came clear to me, (Brendan) was put under pressure by big traders from Virtua. But I have met (Brendan) as a man who wants to be good for everyone and always wants to be friends with everyone, but now I understand why he made some wrong decisions; Because he was under pressure.

I am disappointed by the big traders of Virtua, because they put a (with all respect) person with not so much experience under pressure for their own interests. Abusing people is the worst thing you can do. So I think (Brendan) is not the perpetrator but the victim.

What do you think of the action made by the Federal Government?
That was their only good possible action.

Which tip do you give the next President of Virtua and next President of Cyberia?
First try to make agreements, and make clear what you want to do and how. Do as agreed and don’t get away form course. Always hold your decisions and don’t change them, also if people are pressuring you, you need a policy that is stable for the whole round, and does not change suddenly.

After my interview doodvogeltje had to leave, because there was an important meeting in the Cyberian Parliament. His driver drove me back and I took the boat back to Virtua. Back in Virtua it came to me that Virtua and Cyberia both had good Presidents.
