I have been around for over 100 rounds, and i have seen many different types of education in Miniconomy.
If you need a degree all you need is to get the president to make a request and you got it. It sounds almost too good to be true, but that was the reality just a few rounds ago, I have been afraid for the schools to be a buried thing in the game, and i even asked a 1 on 1 with the federals to try and resurrect it. Only to see this round we have two perfect working schools, and a request system there only are being used, when a player has taken an exam.
So what have changed for degrees from times before United Blingdom and Guilderland?
Well for starters, if you request an Editor degree, you are given the possibility to look in the stats tab under the information tab in the menu, you also take on the job to write one article each round for the TMC to keep it alive and make it an attractive place to visit for new and old players.
Police officers are doing the same job as they always have done, serve and protect the city, if you stand in the middle of nowhere you protect in a 10×10 square, if you stand on a shop with a camera in it you cover a 20×20 square and standing in a shop with an alarm the area covered by you is 40×40, this area you protect is against shoplifting, to help against robbery and shooting there area covered by an officer is more unknown. and for last you can find and defuse bombs.
Federals has updated the witness program bought for a computer, but you need your fellow traders to publish their testimony so they can find the prepertor.
Priest, lawyers, teachers have not changed in ages.
Priestess can divorce and wed people.
lawyers are used in courtrooms to talk your case if needed
teachers can help you study for an exam to obtain new degrees
As TMC owner i have taken the liberty to ask the federals question from time to time, and this article was actually meant to be published a few rounds ago, therefor i asked the federal team a few question and here is the response from them
Mjello: Did the effect of removing the old school and implement the new law for obtaining degrees been successful?
Federal team: Yes, it had a successful effect.
Mjello: Are you working on something in the further on this? or are you hoping the players will work something out? or are you waiting for the one player to make the big idea for the future?
Federal team: We are working on improving it the educational system, but we also hope that players pick this up by themselves with actual working schools and not just exams.
Mjello: Or will you just let it go in to the shadows how degrees was obtained in several years?
Federal team:No.
As you can see from this, the federals will not let the school system be a forgotten thing in our world/community, and for that i’m thankful. good luck to all who wants to obtain new degrees, i hope this article have given at least one new or old player, the lust to obtain at least one new degree
