The best way to win the round seems to be clear: make your energy yourself. But how exactly does that work?
Energy is at the base of all products. Energy is made from oil or wood. You need one oven for it. The moment you use your skills on wood and on energy, you can make all kinds of products yourself very cheaply.
In the example below, we didn’t think about the lot tax and the size of a warehouse. We assume the initial situation. The further you go, the cheaper everything will become. The figures per product are not the correct numbers, so the costs are actually much lower than outlined here.
With the full skills on wood, you pay 200 ish for a plot with around 40 trees on it. With a 20 ish saw you have 40 trees in your warehouse in one go. That costs less than 6 ish per tree.
To make wood from trees, you need machines and saws. With a machine (315 ish if you buy it) you can saw more than 4,000 wood. You can saw more than 50 wood with a saw (20 ish). To get 40 trees from a plot and then cut them into woods, you need a little more than 2,100 ish. Costprice per board of wood: around 55 cents.
What we didn’t mention in this overview: the energy you need to saw those boards. With full skills on wood it will cost 5 kWh a tree. A total of 200 kWh for these 4,000 boards of wood. In the beginning you start with 250 kWh for free, that’s why we didn’t mention it for a while.
We can then make energy ourselves with wood for 55 cents.
We buy an oven (300 ish) and use it to convert 3,000 boards of wood into energy. We receive 6,000 energy from this (each board generates 2 energy). To make a very long calculation short: 6,000 energy costs only 1,950 ish in this way. Add to that the cost of making energy (with full skills 20 cents per energy) and you end up with 52.5 cents per 1 kWh of energy.
Now it’s getting exciting. That’s why you’ll hear the rest in the next edition of The Minicomist!
