Politics?

Author: the mister

Not much going on in the BoC clubs. You propose a piece of law, only half of the consuls reacts. You wonder why it isn’t going that smoothly as you wished. Even more doubts raise when you see and remember the warnings of Federal Manager. Start wondering why you actually became consul? Probably only because you get the profession beside your status, which gives some prestige.

How do you solve the problem of lazy consuls? I would like to call it lazy, because inactive is known as not being online. Inactive consuls can be sacked, easy to get rid of them. But how about consuls who don’t comment on other consul work, and only do high priority work? There isn’t a possibility to sack them. Of course you can think about ways of putting this in the law, but it’s hard. Cyberian members of parliament are fired when they miss two voting’s. Since there is no legal solution for this, I would like to ask previous, today’s and future consuls: What are your plans? Do you want to help, or just make other people annoyed and slow down the BoC? Do you want a constructive board of consuls or one which does only his normal stuff? If you’re planning to be lazy and like a good board, make it public and sack yourself, or don’t give up for being consul at all.

Of course, complaining is easy. A consul could have a very busy life, and happy to combine being consul in miniconomy with the small amount of hobby time available. Or you simply like being a consul, but don’t like the part of struggling to law proposals and discussion. Could be. Or politics is just not interesting enough to put some time in. The law book is nice, the finance part excluded, it almost needs no attention.

I wonder what kind of future politics Virtua will have.
