I would first like to reply to the article entitled “Windstilte in Digi” by demaffer. In case he didn’t bother reading the articles of last round (particularly the FED’s top 25 list) and somehow managed to read this one. I would like you to count the number of Digitalia on the Sept. 9th edition.
Now go back to 10 rounds and tell me the number of Digi’s on those lists. I’ll make it easy for you… 4!! Nearly all had but only 4 Digi’s in top 25 and one had 5. This round (until now) they sit a bit quietly and do you see what happens? But perhaps your article was to provoke some members of Digitalia, and in that you succeeded. I was actually starting to like Digi (until recently), because certain members stopped acting like spoiled little 16 year old girls (see ‘Sweet 16’ on youtube) and started trading. Now that it’s out of the way….
I would like to summarize my bill passed to change Virtua into a presidency. Obviously, only a single person ‘wins’ the national election. They are then obligated to appoint at least 2 officials with a maximum of 4. All of them together with the tribune still form the Council. Now you might ask yourself why these numbers? Here’s why; the Council can now pass laws with a vote of 60% in favor. If the minimum number of councils are appointed there are a total of 4 consuls. If the maximum (4) are appointed, there are a total of 6 consuls. 60% of 4 is over 3; 60% of 6 is 4.
Now the tribune is appointed the same way, so if somehow a corrupt president has appointed only 1 or 2 other consuls, he would need to agree with the opinion of the Tribune to not pass a bill. In case a bad bill is passed the assembly now holds the power to veto the bill with a vote of 50%. However the Council can now veto a bill passed by the Assembly with a vote of 60%.
Other changes are a by-law increase from 3 to 7 for both the council and Assembly. One of my favorites I’ve added is that now every Virtuan citizen now has the right to a legal representative (lawyer) if they can’t find one.
