Has this game gotten out of control in letting the players rule? Has this gone on with the the FED’s (or CBI) noticing? Could the FED’s and CBI be involved? I will explore these questions and many others in the upcoming paragraphs. Please note that I am going into a lot of theoretical ideas. I do not mean to accuse people of being corrupt nor am I implying they are. Please keep this in mind while you read this article.
It is well known that that CoV is a small group of players that are the only ones to keep their position seemingly indefinitely. They are the only ones that can choose their members of who joins and who doesn’t. So in this sense, one can see how they might control the members of only those who would agree with them and what not. Of course they could say they do not, but if I eat beef and call myself a vegetarian how would you know? With this being said, one could always look back at the previous trading periods and find out who the members of the CoV were/are.
I have noticed this for quite some time but never was politically active to care or try to make others care. However, due to recent events, it seems more people have removed the blinds from their eyes to see the corruption that could be in the highest of player powers.
This may be worse yet, considering that the CoV has the power to decide if voting rights should be withdrawn or not. I would like everyone to note the first mayor of Cashington, Zeromercy, who has been inactive since the second day of this trading period; Yet looking in the club you can see his voting rights have not been withdrawn.
However, I like to try and view things from both sides. Perhaps there was a reason for their being a person in the CoV to become the IC chair. Then I ask why it was necessary for one person to have the chair position for both of the highest player powers. I don’t claim to have the solution, but there should definitely be a system of checks and balances in place, but who would implement this? Why would the current people in power lessen their power when they are free to get away with it?
Although I don’t think it has gotten out of control, I do find it odd that the people who want the city of Roebelarendsveen independent and who have made it independent are the same that can make sure it stays that way without opposition.
There are also other ways they can bend the rules yet still be within the law. They could theoretically deny or grant certain people an extended amount of time for a rebuttal or to find a lawyer. Of course deals behind closed doors (msn) could be made as well, such as you agree to convict this person and I’ll agree with you at a later time.
Although I’ve spoken with a government official and he said they would act immediately, I hope that this article will inspire the FED’s to implement a system of checks and balances. One idea could be as I suggested that there is a Federal Court for the trial of CoV members or IC judge’s. It would be even better to get a Cyberian and Digitalian point of view since nobody from those countries would accept my invite for an interview.
