Every week an official quiz is held in the Federation chat. In addition to a cash prize for the winner, there are mainly points for the QuizMaster Achievement to be earned. Our TMC editor dived into the wonderful world of the MC Quiz.
The setup is simple. Ten multiple-choice questions are asked. For each correct answer, a player receives points. Traders who are quick to answer will get a bonus if their answer is correct. The first to answer and get it right gets 5 points, the second 4 points etc. From the fifth dealer who gives a correct answer, 1 point is awarded.
After an hour of anticipation / tension building (especially from PlasticDame), Quizmaster Wouter announced the start of the quiz at 9 pm server time sharp. After asking the first question, there was a moment of complete silence. Only the employees of the chat flood protection department were busy warning potential cheaters.
After the signal from the one and only Quizmaster, the answers pour in in (milli)seconds in succession. A total of 16 traders participated this Monday. That the quiz is played seriously is evident from the quasi serious accusations about cheating when the same players always answer early.
Eyebrows are raised when it becomes clear from the answers that Federal Engineer often stays in luxury hotel rooms. With 426 luxury overnight points, this Federal can be found in a penthouse more often than hard-working merchants such as MerchantnZ (210 points) and Webrow-cy (57 points).
It becomes downright grim when the answer to the question of who has reached the most top-20 positions turns out not to be Rockefeller (0 times) but Primetimer (8 times). It turns out to be a mean question, because almost everyone thought the answer was Rockenfeller (37 times top-20). An ‘n’ more than in the answers offered.
Furthermore, the Quiz is very informative. For example, our editor learned that alarms have a net worth of 40 ISH. Considerably more than clay (0.30 ISH) or engines (8.50 ISH). Less useful was the fact that Maudvanherp leaves pok_pok (1 friend) and Theondrus (3 friends) behind in the friend ranking with 5 friends.
In the end, El tomacho took the win thanks to a score of 24 points. The podium was completed by Tresias Aegirsson (20 points) and Zofona (14 points).
