It is well known around the Federation that Nasdaqar has some of the lushest and most dense forests found in any city. They cover many square miles of rolling hills, fertile valleys, and endless shore line. Some of the forest even remains unexplored by loggers and the locals aren’t even sure of the wonders it may contain.
There has always been a story told by the old timers on the outskirts of town describing a large sharp toothed beast roaming the forests. Many people today dismiss it as a myth and a way for people to scare off unwanted foreigners. The story took a strange turn when a plaster cast of a large reptilian footprint was uncovered in an old warehouse used by the Nasdaqar Police Department for evidence storage. No one could explain how it got there and no records of when it was cast could be found in the system. Dumbfounded, the police chief got on the phone with an expert on large reptiles by the name of Lizarda Croc. Lizarda came to the police station and was immediately shocked at the discovery, so shocked in fact that she contacted the team from the Miniconomy X-files.
Earlier this trade period I received a call from Lizarda who explained she had an unbelievable specimen and I needed to see it. Later in the week she stopped by my office with the plaster cast and explained the significance it possessed. “This is a footprint of a large two-legged dinosaur from the Jurassic period, that alone is not shocking as we find fossils of footprints in the bedrock of el peso, but what is interesting is that this isn’t a fossil, whatever made this had flesh and left behind a scale in the plaster mold” Lizarda explained. Immediately I was intrigued as we could have a survivor from the Jurassic period roaming Nasdaqar’s forests.
Without wasting more time I called the rest of the team and launched a two week expedition through the great forests of Nasdaqar. Our focus was on the old gold mines and caves big enough to harbor such a large creature. Surely if something of this size was roaming the forests it could be found, or at least sign of it could. But what we discovered over the next few weeks shocked even me, and I feel blessed to even be able to write this report.
