Flying solo

The past week was an abomination for the government of Digitalia. Because of a mini-war between Equites and the Digitalian Elite the last group has been thinned out. The only substantial thing that the Barons have achieved is making sure that the members of Equites could not hold positions in the government of Digitalia. Even though, a core discussion was started. Baron Washaway asked the question if Digitalia needed to be rearranged. Joining the two cities of Monapoli and Tripolire into one megacity would make sure that the Digitalian economy would move up to the top. The eventual answer is (as expected) ‘no’ if you ask the Tripolirians and ‘yes’ if you ask the Monapolians. Conclusion: the Digitalian Elite has shot itself in the foot (almost literally) and the governments is torn to shreds after a week.

After I had drawn this conclusion I got into my Limcousine to think about the problems down by the coast. On the way there I put on a song by Ilse de Lange (a Dutch singer). Before my driver had parked on the parking lot by the beach I had asked him to turn the car around. Quickly we drove to the Fed Request club.

When I had gotten to the right window I put in an offer to buy a piece of land in the middle of the Valuta. I didn’t even have the time to finish my sentence or the people that were there started minding other people’s business. Reactions like ‘ I offer more!’ and ‘I want my private house there’ were made. No one had realized though that there was a plan to buying this piece of land.

Buying just to buy was not really something that I was known for, and if I would want to buy a private villa I would do that on an easy spot in Tripolire. Unfortunately so many people starting putting in offers that it was necessary to close the window where I was standing temporarily. Several Federals have also said that the piece of land is not for sale at all.

So unfortunately the Limcousine is ready to bring me to my dinner with several other Barons. Possibly putting on another nice piece of music that inspires me to another thought. I will see if I can tell you a bit more by the time of the next edition.
