A new trade-organisation is making themselves known. They call themselves ‘Equites’ and the members are recognised by their picture in their profile. They operate mostly from Eurodam, where they dominate the trading business. Members buy, as far as possible, by other members to make sure that everyone ends as high as possible and if possible, deliver the number one trader. Some sources are convinced that this is how basick bv became first.
Some of the members have been identified. They are confident that Whooty, basick bv, Joerik, Ritz and Centaurus are members of this mysterious organisation. The names of Tijntrix and Dhr. Jorisz were also mentioned, the more after the great results of the last person.
But of course is trading not the only thing they have their attention on. They like to see a mysterious mafia-like atmosphere around their club and so they act like it. Some speak of the presence of a ‘hitlist’ where some people are listed on. These people shouldn’t survive the end of the period. Some of them are criminals who deserve to be shot, while others are decent who probably won’t have anything to fear. Big traders, mayors as well as politicians are being mentioned.
After a conversation with representative Whooty,, the grumpy, non-talkative ‘boss’ of Equites, it soon became clear that he didn’t want to say very much. Yet he confirms the existence of a hitlist. Furthermore he wished to make an announcement from Equites. “Soon there will be an action which will know corruption and falsehood. Some people will be the victim of revenge.”
What they are planning to do is not clear, but no-one is worrying much about it. Most people think it is a ‘help-us-we-are-dangerous’-group and so they are not considered a threat. They threaten with attacks, but when they need to take action, nothing seems to happen. So everybody goes on with his life and doesn’t pay much attention to Equites anymore.
Somewhat later it seemed that several people got an sms with the notification from Equites. Some were harmless with the text: ”We are going to get you. Equites.”, while others contained a message like the message to the president who had to open a topic and promise to carry out their threats. Whooty denied very quickly that he was behind the messages. He thinks that someone is trying to misuse the name Equites for a bad joke. Not long after that, Dhr. Jorisz made the announcement that he knew who were behind the messages. According to him, two accounts of which the name begins with ”bonan” and ”jerre” sent the messages. Both bonanza and jerrevds felt addressed (and they better be) and demanded that Dhr. Jorisz withdrew his statement, seen the fact that both swore not to have had anything to do with it.
It is clear that this weird history is far from solved. Despite the mysterious atmosphere around Equites, no-one seems to worry. Maybe that the threat of Whooty is an attempt to change this.
