When everyone had signed up and the deadline had passed, the draw was announced for the duels. Master79 was matched up with basick bv, Y2K vs Washaway, Naamloze vs Joerik, and COE was matched up with Riemer_1990. Torpedo 7 and Seison were named as the referees. The first round took place in an abandoned street, where experienced gunman Naamloze quickly took care of Joerik, thereby winning a spot for the semifinals alongside Riemer_1990 and Y2K. However, in the match between Master79 and basick bv, a peculiar event took place. Master79 and basick bv shot each other within the same second, stunning the referees. After an inconclusive investigation, the decision was to hold a rematch, in which basick bv managed to come out unscathed, winning him a spot for the semi-finals.
For the occasion, the Mayor of El Peso Torpedo 7 had built a large park where the participants could compete in without problems occurring. However, the park was quickly part of the contest area and the benches and trees had bullet holes in them after a few minutes.
Y2K came back with a big smile after defeating basick bv and in a surprise upset, riemer_1990 beat Naamloze
Monday, February 8th was the big day. The final would be played out between Y2K and riemer_1990. After riemer_1990 quit his temporary job as officer, the fight was on. During the countdown some of the people in the crowd tried to get the players to start early, luckily not affecting the contestants. In the first half of the final riemer_1990 was shot first and in the second half, after someone shot down boris.boef 10 seconds after the start, the same thing happened. Y2K was crowned champion of the EPICS and took the prize money home. Not much was left of the prize money when congratulations to the champion came mostly in the form of live bullets.
