From apprentice to assistant
When the editor-in-chief asked me to write an article about my vision on the Federation, I was a little puzzled and did my best to remember everything, but eventually I just decided to start going with the flow.
I started out in 2013, landing in the sister city Zwollar, coming from the city of Zwolle in the Netherlands. I started out because a rich inhabitant, Haverhoek, told me about the riches that could be made there. Not knowing what to do exactly I soon looked for someone who could teach me the ropes.
This person turned out to be Goedkoopste. Back in those days he was an up and coming trader that was actively searching for trading agreements, and I started producing pumps and motors, which he resold in his stores. I started with 3 accounts, mikefeith, maartenvanbenthem and marcelbuter, where the latter did the best of the three, so I kept going with that account. The trading period after I started an alliance with j_hemelaar, which turned out to be quite profitable.
My first good trading period was the 16th though, in which I started to do wood, a product that I have probably made more of than any trader in the Federation, and even got me a third place finish once. After 20 rounds of this, one round in between where I did gasoline, delivering most of it to Joep Eerlijk Racing, who got the second place in the street race championship, I can trade in wood with my eyes closed. At this point however I decided to just to whatever is needed and put my active trading career on a backseat.
I got into politics in the 17th trading period, with the party Xperience, later joining SPAM, Inactive Belangen, Lijst Joep Eerlijk, PvdA, Partij Anders, and One Man. My time in Lijst Joep Eerlijk was most dear to me though, since in that period I was President for the first time and Minister of Finance for 4 rounds. By now I have had the positions of President, King, and Chairman of the Board of Consuls, being the only player to achieve this with one account.
Even though I have achieved a lot in my own eyes, I lived in anonymity for quite some time. I was always an apprentice in trading, being an assistant for people such as themini, Pino1, Podje, and Big Daddy. In politics I always got the 2nd or 3rd spot on the list, never trying to become the lead man or start my own party.
By now I have seen a lot. I saw the rise and decline of Zwollar time and time again, having lived there longer than anyone else, and have seen great Mayors of Zwollar, from Goedkoopste to Doombaby to Jorref, and now Swax. I have made a bunch of friendships that I will do my best to keep for as long as I play, but most of all, Miniconomy and the Federation has taken up a big spot in my life, and that will stay that way for a long time.
